Hyderabad now has a women exclusive industrial park

Hyderabad, Mar 9 (KNN) The country’s first industrial park exclusively for women entrepreneurs has been unveiled here.

The Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) will provide infrastructure facilities like roads, power, water, and drainage, dedicated industrial substation, common facilities, storm water, rain water harvesting facilities and green belts, etc.

Telangana's Industries and Commerce Minister K. T. Rama Rao unveiled FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) Women Green Industrial Park at a function held at TSIIC office on Wednesday.

The minister handed over sanction proceedings of allotment of land for FLO Women Green Industrial Park to its chairperson Padma Rajgopal.

50 acres of land at Sultanpur, Patancheru on the city outskirts was allocated to FLO the at a cost of Rs 45 lakh per acre. The FLO will develop its first women entrepreneurs' park in the country.

FLO member, who have minimum 51 per cent share in partnerships/pvt ltd companies, will be allocated the land to establish the units.

FLO has urged the state government to extend various benefits including investment subsidy of 25 per cent on fixed capital with a maximum cap of Rs 30 lakh to all units; 50 per cent subsidy on expenses incurred for ISO and other quality certifications.

It also requested for special allocation of 5 acres of land on lease to develop, build and operate a Centre of Excellence for Skill Development for women from weaker and under-privileged sections of the society.
