ICAI organizing panel discussion on GST on July 1; PM Modi to address the event

New Delhi, June 24 (KNN) The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is organizing a panel discussion on Goods & Services Tax (GST) on July 1, 2017, the day which also marks as the CA Day. The event, to be held at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, will be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

To overhaul the indirect taxation system in India, a transformational reform in the form of GST is being implemented in the country from July 1, 2017.

On this occasion, ICAI will be commemorating both GST launch and CA Day during which there will be a panel discussion on GST.

The panellists for the discussion would be Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Revenue Secretary Hansmukh Adhia and Panellists from Trade, Industry Chambers and Industry.

Thereafter, the event will be addresses by PM Modi which will be relayed live at 163 places in the country. The programme will be simultaneously held at the State Capitals also.

Around 15000 participants will be attending the event at Indira Gandhi Stadium. Industry bodies including FISME, the apex body for MSME associations in the country, will also be participating at the event. (KNN Bureau)
