Bhubaneshwar, Jun 27 (KNN) The Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has plans to come up with a 21-storyed building on the premises of the Odisha Khadi and Village Industries Board (OKVIB).

The multi-storey building will be constructed by the Orissa Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) on the four-acre land.

The estimated cost of the building will be Rs 125 crore.

The building is being constructed in the wake of revival plan of the OKVIB which intends to promote cottage and khadi-based industry in the State.

“Steps will be taken to revive 40 khadi societies. The board has set a target of 300 new khadi societies to promote khadi as well as help people get self-employment,” said MSME Minister Damodar Rout in a statement. (KNN)
