IIT-Delhi showcases 135 projects like solar-powered refrigerator, others

The 10th Edition of the Open House which began today involved display of research projects developed by students, staff and faculty; technical workshops by industry experts, and a guided showcase of the on-campus laboratories.
Speaking about the annual technical exposition, Director of IIT Delhi, R K Shevgaonkar said, “IIT Open House exhibition has over the years received an overwhelming response across general public, schools and colleges and this is what has encouraged us to carry forward the tradition of presenting the inimitable innovations of IIT Delhi.”
IIT Open House 2014 will include educative sessions such as ‘New trends in science & technology to help eradicate disease’ by B Jayaram and ‘Experience with cloud computing and development of Baadal by Sorav Bansal. The project on display would also be evaluated by an internal team.
The one-day event also showcased special attractions like Stanford India Bio design Program, IITD entrepreneurship showcase, robotics show and quad copter show.
Open House 2014 saw visitors from different sections of people like technology enthusiasts, students and colleagues from other technical institutes, school children, and industries.
IIT Delhi involves in collaborative programmes with national and international organisation/university to remain at the forefront of the scientific and technology development. (KNN Bureau)
