India emerges as world pharmacy, WTO compliant

New Delhi, Mar 10 (KNN) Under pressure from the US to tighten its IPR regime, India has asserted that its pharmaceutical industry has sub-served the requirements of 87 developing countries and their healthcare system is supported by the Indian medicines.

India has been facing a severe pressure from the US to further tighten its patent regime. However, the Indian industry, which has large presence of the small and medium enterprises, has been asserting that dis-complying with the WTO rules. (KNN Bureau)
