India Handloom brand now on social media

New Delhi, Oct 20 (KNN)  In an effort to make handloom products aspirational, especially among the younger generation, by instilling in them a sense of pride in wearing such products, the Government of India has started a promotional campaign on social media.

Individuals can now connect with the ‘India Handloom’ Brand on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/indhandloom; Twitter at https://twitter.com/indhandloom; and Instagram at https://instagram.com/indhandloom, an official release said.

The social media presence is aimed at connecting with customers, especially youth, in promoting high quality handloom products under the umbrella of the ‘India Handloom’ brand. It would help build customer awareness about the brand and carve a distinct identity for it. 

Updates relating to products under the brand, history of handlooms, unique features of handloom products from different parts of India, status of handloom sector in India and various government initiatives for promotion of the handloom sector will be shared regularly on the social media pages. 

The move would educate customers and generate interest in authentic handloom products.   The social media pages will also cover various events relating to handloom, organized across the country.

Customer feedback would also be invited on social media; this would provide useful inputs for the promotion of the brand in particular and the handloom sector in general, it said.  (KNN Bureau)
