India International Coir Fair to be held in Coimbatore in July

Coimbatore, June 2 (KNN) The Coir board under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) will organise a India International Coir Fair (IICF) in Coimbatore from July 15-18.

The event is being organized concurrently with the AGRI INTEX

The main objective of IICF is to showcase the renowned Indian coir products at an international level. The fair will be organised at Codissia trade fair complex in Coimbatore.

IICF also envisages showcasing the renowned Indian coir products focusing on floor covering, horticultural, erosion control and wood substitute products as well as exploring the doors of opportunities for the entrepreneurs who are engaged in this Industry.

During the fair, the visitors would be deliberated about the latest developments in the coir sector in India through an exclusive, simultaneous conference and Seminar.

During the IICF, exhibitions, buyer-seller meets, seminars, investor meet, coir fashion shows will also be organized.

India’s coir exports have surpassed a record of Rs 1900 crores during the year 2015-16 which was only around Rs.1400 crores during 2013-14. (KNN Bureau)
