Sonepat, Mar 4 (KNN)  A global sized market for horticulture products, particularly apples, would come at Ganaur near here at the Grand Trunk Road, being promoted by the Haryana Government.

Developed by the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board (HSAMB), the market spread across 537.6 acres of land with world class infrastructure will be one of its kind for selling fruits, vegetables, flowers and dairy products.

To start operations in the market, HSAMB is constructing shops for wholesale and retail of fruits and vegetables.

Located on NH-1 near the upcoming Kundli Manesar Palwal Expressway and close to the national capital region near Delhi’s Azadpur Market, it is strategically and economically important for the apple trade.  Apples are carted other states of the country for distribution, export and storage through NH-1.

In this context, HSAMB has invited bids from parties interested in setting up shops in the market.  (KNN/ES)
