India Pavilion at World Food Kazakhstan 2014

New Delhi, Nov 4 (KNN)  To strengthen the international market for Indian agricultural and food products so as to increase exports, especially to the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) region, an India Pavilion will be featured at the World Food Kazakhstan exhibition that begins tomorrow.

World Food Kazakhstan 2014 is scheduled to be held from November-5 to 7 at Almaty, Kazakhstan.   The India Pavilion is organised by ASSOCHAM as an initiative to strengthen India’s international economic relations, according to a release.

The exhibition is a dedicated food, drink and food technology which enables domestic and international companies to demonstrate their products to the Kazakhstan market.

Kazakhstan is a fast growing economy in Central Asia.  According to the results of 2013, experts of the Eurasian Development Bank have predicted that Kazakhstan’s GDP will increase by 5.5 per cent and the tendency towards growth will continue in 2014.

The 2013 edition of the event saw representation of 35 countries, 371 exhibitors and 5,339 visitors.

The product sectors showcased were food and drink (ingredients, spices and herbs), agriculture (packaging), food technology (bakery) and halal food (retail).  (KNN/ES)
