India post pavilion at trade fair to showcase IT modernization of Indian post

New Delhi, Nov 15 (KNN) Giving an insight into the IT Modernization project of the Department of Posts, the pavilion of India Post was inaugurated at the 33rd India International Trade Fair (IITF).
 
Chief Postmaster General, A Vasumitra inaugurated the pavilion of India Post yesterday, featuring attractions like tailor made solutions for the mailing needs, postal life insurance, customize business packages for corporate customer, financial services, automated mail sorting centre for modernizing mail processing and many others.
 
On the occasion of Children’s Day, a commemorative postage stamp was also released by the chief postmaster at the grand event.
 
The design of the stamp was selected from the designs made by the children themselves in a stamp design competition organized by the department every year across the country.
 
The theme of the contest for this year was ‘A Holiday’. (KNN/ST)
