Indian Army organises defence startup symposium in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Sept 7 (KNN) A defence startup symposium was organised by the Indian Army in Benguluru on September 5-6, 2022.

A total of 25 companies and startups with domain specialisation in Drones, Aviation, Artificial Intelligence, Communication, Surveillance and Manufacturing participated in the event.

The startup symposium provided an opportunity to the civil industry to showcase their expertise, emerging technologies and developmental initiatives to support the defence forces.

The primary objective of the event was to provide a common platform to defence forces and the civil industry to synergise their efforts to achieve “Atmanirbharta” in the defence sector.

Earlier this year, the government had set aside Rs 84,598 crore for local defence purchase.

This event was organised as part of industry outreach programme by the Indian Army under the “Make in India” Initiative.  (KNN Bureau)
