Indian Navy Conclave to announce Industry Plan on July 18-19

New Delhi, July 6 (KNN) During the Naval Innovation & Indigenisation Organisation (NIIO) Seminar ‘Swavlamban 2022 scheduled for July 18 to 19 a plan for the defence manufacturing industry is likely to be announced, said Vice Admiral SN Ghormade, Vice Chief of Naval Staff (VCNS).

It will help improve the collaboration between the Indian Navy and the industry in producing various systems and equipment needed by the force, he said.

The Navy has invited about 25 defence attachés based in India to the two-day conference to highlight the expanding strength of the Indian defence sector and provide them with solutions to their security needs.

According to Indian Navy officials, a sizable number of Indian defence attachés will be present at the event to promote India’s defence manufacturing capabilities to the nations where they are stationed.

“During the occasion, the “Unmanned Roadmap” will be released in its unclassified form.

This was created expressly for the industry and provides all relevant information (including numbers of planned introductions) along with dates so that the sector can decide where to concentrate its R&D efforts, said Ghormade. (KNN Bureau)
