India’s Coal Production Rises 7.51Percent to 69.75 MT in July 2026; Dispatch Grows 17.34Percent
New Delhi, Aug 3 (KNN) India’s coal production increased 7.51Percent year-on-year to 69.75 million tonnes (MT) in July 2026, compared with 64.88 MT in July 2025. Coal dispatch also rose 17.34Percent to 86.33 MT during the month, from 73.57 MT a year earlier.
Cumulative coal production during April-July 2026 stood at 302.24 MT (provisional), while cumulative coal dispatch reached 354.70 MT, registering a 5.87Percent year-on-year growth.
Coal India Limited (CIL) produced 50.35 MT in July 2026, up 8.42Percent from July 2025. Its coal dispatch increased 17.43Percent to 63.67 MT during the month.
CIL’s cumulative coal dispatch during April-July 2026 recorded 6.81Percent growth compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.
