Kolkata, Oct 19 (KNN) Union Ministry of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare jointly in association with Vijnana Bharati will be organising 'Industry Academia Conclave' to be held on November 5th and 6th, in Kolkata at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre as part of India International Science Festival (IISF).

Industry Academia Conclave will focus on fostering partnership between industry and academia so that employability of engineering and technically trained students in Indian industries may be enhanced on one hand and on the other hand industries may also reap more benefits from the increasing competence and skill-sets of academia and R&D labs.

The event is a part of the 5th India International Science Festival (IISF 2019), a mega event.

This mega festival being organized since 2015 each year in different cities which provides platform for all the national R&D labs of the country in show-casing our countries scientific achievements in all fields of S&T and their application in accelerating growth of Modern India.

It also provides opportunity for scientists, industries, technocrats, policy makers, students, teachers, innovators, incubators, technocrats, science writers / film makers, etc. through interactive events spread over four days on various issues of concern and to build new pathways for faster progress. The festival receives more than 10,000 delegates for interactive events and 3-4 lakh visitors to its mega S&T expo.

The conclave invites, UG/PG and faculty of IITs, NITs, Government Institutions, Private Engineering/Pharma collages and Incubation Centres, CSIR, DST and other National and Regional R&D labs representatives, Industry personal, HR heads, Training heads and R&D heads of industries, FICC/CII and other Industry-Associations representatives.

Apart from these, Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) industries, government officials’ industry department, representatives, start-up initiators, Entrepreneurs are also invited in the conclave.
