Institute for Design of Electrical Measuring Instruments, Mumbai, to launch incubation services with a 3-day start-up bootcamp

New Delhi, June 23 (KNN) Institute for Design of Electrical Measuring Instruments, Mumbai, is all set to launch its incubation services with a 3-day start-up boot-camp. Technology start-ups (hardware & software), final year students with entrepreneurial spirits and existing enterprises that seek to develop a new idea can apply now for the programme.

Given the importance of start-ups for industrial and economic growth, Institute for Design of Electrical Measuring Instruments in partnership with the Chamber of Small Industry Associations (COSIA), Thane is launching its incubation services with a 3-day Start-up Bootcamp between the 12th to 14th July.

The boot camp is being organized in partnership with Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME).

Technology has changed everyone’s lives drastically. Tablets, mobile phones, social platforms are results of revolutionary innovations developed by visionary innovators, some of them from start-ups who have grown to multinational companies such as Facebook.

Incubators play an important role for start-ups to support their growth, provide advisory as well as access to technologies, mentors, investors, etc. Mumbai and its suburb such as Thane has been a striving industry hub with industries operating in various sectors such as IT, manufacturing, electronics, etc.

The boot-camp will commence with the launching event where the selected start-ups will present their ideas to the audience and will continue with hands-on practical session for the selected start-ups.

If you already have an idea in the industrial sector – be it in Electrical, Electronics or Process Control Instruments or are working on your venture or are diversifying you product / business model, join the boot-camp to refine your idea with the help of tools such as design thinking and business modeling.

International and national experts will evaluate the products and the business models and will give valuable inputs.

The participants of the Bootcamp will have access to IDEMI’s state of-the-art facilities and its services such as calibration and testing of Electrical, Electronic and Process Control Instruments, Sensors, Transducers & Electrically Operated Domestic appliances and design & manufacturing of Press Tools for sheet metal components, Plastic Moulding Tools, Forging Tools, Pressure Die Casting Tools, Jigs & Fixtures among others.

The programme has been initiated within the framework of the Indo-German Bilateral Cooperation programme on “Innovation Promotion in MSMEs” being implemented by GIZ and office of DC-MSME, MoMSME, Government of India.
