INTELECT conference on smart electricity and convergence ecosystem

Mumbai, Dec 19 (KNN) Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers' Association (IEEMA) is organising a conference cum exhibition for ecosystem players who will play a decisive role in the future of on interconnected electricity and the convergence ecosystem.

INTELECT Conference and Exposition is scheduled from January 22 to 24, 2015 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai.

“The programme will provide a peerless platform for all the players in the ecosystem to come together to exchange ideas and share their vision through a conference themed Smart Electricity for Emerging Markets,” said a statement.

It includes key components on various topics such as interconnected electricity like renewables and off grid generation, smart rural electrification, components and systems for the distribution and control of energy, cutting edge consumer and industrial electronics, energy efficient equipment, industry 3.0 - M2M communications wireless technology and protocols, HVAC control systems and solutions, security and surveillance and lighting and lighting control.

Individuals like builders, architects, city planners, energy and government officials, transportation industry representatives, venture capitalists, utilities, contractors, consultants and academia will be participating in the event.

The three day exhibition cum conference will feature speech sessions from prominent tech-evangelists, futurists and technology leaders from India and abroad.

The parallel tracks of the conference include H3O – smart home, hospital, hotel and office, microgrids, rural electrification and renewables, smart cities and humanitarian.

An IEEE technical activities volunteer training workshop: pro-active volunteering in IEEE technical communities and activities will be held on January 21.

The workshop is designed to provide selected attendees with information and tools in the areas of IEEE activities like global and local technical communities, conferences, publication and educational activities. (KNN/ST)
