Interim arrangement has been made for allowing paint industry use biocides: MSME Ministry

New Delhi, Nov 30 (KNN) An interim arrangement has been made for giving interim permission to the paint industry for use of biocides in paints, import of quantity based biocides and indigenous manufacture of biocides, Parliament was informed today.
 
MSME Ministry has received representation from Indian Small Scale Paint Association (ISSPA) regarding mandatory registration of Paint Industry, using biocides, falling in the schedule of Insecticide Act 1968, Minister of State, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Giriraj Singh in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha here today. 

Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has constituted a Sub- Committee for revisiting the guidelines for registration of Paint Industry. An interim arrangement has been made for giving interim permission for use of biocides in paints, import of quantity based biocides and indigenous manufacture of biocides. (KNN Bureau)
