IOB opens MSME branch for local entrepreneurs in Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 15 (KNN) Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) today opened a dedicated branch for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with the view to boost financial inclusion in the sector.

 

The branch was inaugurated by Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the IOB R. Koteeswaran and Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME) Vice President CS Goel in the Model Town area of the national capital.

Talking to KNN, MD & CEO of IOB said, “To see the MSME sector progress well, we decided to open an MSME branch in Delhi.”

“Delhi-NCR based MSMEs can take the advantage of this,” added Koteeswaran.

The banker said that more number of MSMEs can tap the finance to meet their need through the branch, he elaborated.

This sector is going to increase the GDP of country and will create employment for the larger sections adding that Prime Minister also said that more employment needs to be created in the country. (KNN Bureau)
