Gandhinagar, Feb 13 (KNN) Gujarat Government has come up with new IT (Information Technology) policy to give a push to the sector. The IT industry, especially the small and medium enterprises have welcomed the policy and said  it would boost the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector.

Talking to KNN, Secretary General of Gujarat Electronics and Software Industries Association (GESIA) Anupam Bhatnagar said that the policy seems  to be good and would definitely enhance the MSME sector.

He said India is a hub of IT industry and there are several challenges to be competitive in the market.

He appreciated the Modi Government’s E-Governance initiatives saying it would give lot of employment opportunities to the people.

Talking about the Start-Ups in India, he said that the much required taxation benefits have already been given to start-ups under the start-up India policy.

“They need some capital to boost their start-ups. A pool of investors are required for the Start-Ups,” he said.

GESIA, meanwhile, highlighted the need for funds for the skill development. (KNN Bureau)
