New Delhi, June 1 (KNN) President of Manufacturers’ Association for Information Technology (MAIT), Nitin Kunkolienker requested that the government to set nurturing “MSME Indian brands” as one of the major goals of Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme.

He said that the minister has appreciated the proposal and has asked all stakeholders to work together to take it forward.

Extensive deliberations took place on understanding the way forward to achieve the USD 300 billion electronics hardware manufacturing by 2026.

"Government and industry are closely working together to achieve our shared goal of USD 300 billion in the ESDM sector. We are committed to solving all issues and concerns that the industry brought up during today’s extensive meeting,” said the minister.

In an effort to become the basis of the local electronic manufacturing ecosystem of India, discussion around steps required to enable MSMEs to leverage this PLI driven growth also took place.  (KNN Bureau)
