Jitendra Singh Launches Capacity-Building Platform For Researchers And Entrepreneurs

New Delhi, Jun 8 (KNN) Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh has announced the launch of a digital portal supported by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) to provide training in patent filing and scientific writing for students, startups and innovators across the country.

ANRF-Supported Portal To Strengthen Research Capabilities

The announcement was made while chairing the Joint Monthly Meeting of Science Secretaries at Kartavya Bhawan, where the minister reviewed initiatives aimed at strengthening India's scientific and innovation ecosystem.

According to Singh, the portal will offer structured guidance on research publication, intellectual property protection and patent filing processes, helping build capacity among aspiring researchers, entrepreneurs and innovators.

Focus On Collaboration Across Scientific Institutions

The minister also emphasised the need for greater collaboration among scientific organisations across departments to maximise research outcomes and innovation potential.

He said institutional mechanisms should be developed to facilitate the sharing of knowledge, technological achievements and organisational capabilities, enabling more effective utilisation of national scientific expertise.

During the meeting, Singh expressed satisfaction over the introduction of a new administrative capacity-building programme designed for academicians and scientists assuming leadership positions in research and scientific institutions.

Governance Reforms Linked To Mission Karmayogi

Highlighting the importance of strengthening governance within scientific organisations, he stressed the need to align such initiatives with the Centre's Mission Karmayogi programme.

The minister said enhanced collaboration, leadership development and innovation-focused capacity building would play a key role in advancing India's scientific capabilities and supporting the country's long-term research and technology goals.
