JK Pharmaceutical Manufacturer’s Association urges CGST Chief Commissioner for faster re-imbursement under GST

New Delhi, July 6 (KNN) The small pharma manufacturers from Chandigarh, under the umbrella of JK Pharmaceutical Manufacturer’s Association, have raised concerns regarding budgetary support under IGST and inspection of eligible units for re-imbursement

An interactive session was organized today by JK Pharmaceutical Manufacturer’s Association (JKPMA) with Manoranjan Kaur Virk, Chief Commissioner, CGST, Chandigarh Zone. The session was held in the presence of Gyan Sarvar, Commissioner, CGST, Jammu & other officials of department.

Satish Kaul, President, JK Pharmaceutical Manufacturer’s Association appreciated the efforts of departments to solve the problems being faced by the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Units during the transition period from old tax regime to Goods & Services Tax (GST) system.

During the interactive session, Association members highlighted the problems being faced by pharmaceutical units located in the state with regards to the Budgetary Support under IGST, Inspections of Eligible Units for the Re-imbursement under Notification Number F. No. 10(I)/2017-DBA-II/NER dated 05-10-2017, JKPMA said.

The association further said that in order to help the manufacturing sector for supporting the cash flow requirement there is need for self-credit mechanism as was available in the pre-GST era. This issue was highlighted so that the CGST Commissioner takes it up with the concerned authorities.

The units also sought quick budgetary support and mechanism for inspections of eligible units for re-imbursement under Notification Number F. No. 10(I)/2017-DBA-II/NER dated 05-10-2017.

The Chief Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the issues highlighted by the President and assured them to resolve their issues on priority basis. (KNN Bureau)
