Kalraj Mishra inaugurates Khadi exhibition in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad, Jan 21 (KNN) Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra is in Ghaziabad today to inaugurate the Khadi PMEGP Exhibition at Khadi Bazaar.
After inaugurating the exhibition, Khadi Bazaar 2016, Mishra interacted with the exhibitionists there.
Last week, the MSME Minister had said that in order to make competitive, government is planning to build a Khadi Bhavan in Varanasi.
He pointed that the Khadi sale was at its peak in the last year mainly because people from all age groups are buying Khadi now.
The sales figure for Khadi were on a decline in the first half of 2014-15 as compared to the previous year, the corresponding figures witnessed a sudden jump in the second half of the year. In first two quarters of 2014-15 (April to September) the sale was down from Rs 500 crore to Rs 417 crore (2013-14). However, in next two quarters the corresponding number went up from Rs 581 crore to Rs 753 crore. (KNN Bureau)
