Kashmir University introduces J&K Industrial Policy to entrepreneurs

Srinagar, Mar 27 (KNN) Kashmir University (KU) in collaboration with the district industries centre organized one-day awareness programme on Jammu and Kashir (J&K) Industrial Policy at the convocation complex of the varsity here.

The program was aimed at creating awareness about the J&K Industrial Policy, various incentives and state and central schemes being offered in the state.

Registrar of KU, Nissar Ahmad Mir in his address welcomed the initiative of strengthening industry academia interface and highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship in the development of societies.

He added that university was open to collaborate with the industry for the benefit of students in particular and society in general.

Director Industries, Mehmood Ahmad Shah assured that the industries department will work closely with university and other educational institutions for motivating youth to avail the benefits being offered by the department and setup their own industrial units.

Head department of management studies, Mushtaq Ahmad Darzi in his address highlighted the role of management studies in promotion of industry and entrepreneurship.

He added that the department is proactive in grooming future business leaders as per the demands and requirements of the industry.

The programme was inaugurated by Mir in presence of Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Shahid Iqbal  Choudry, Darzi, Shah and General Manager DIC Srinagar Syed  Sajad  Qadri. (KNN/JM)
