KASSIA partners with MM Activ Sci-Tech to organise Agrovision South

Bengaluru, Feb 9 (KNN) With an aim to educate, encourage and empower the farming community, the Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) in association with MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications is organising workshops cum exhibition, 'Agrovision South'.

The national expo scheduled from February 21 to 23, 2015 at Belagavi is south India's largest agriculture summit.

In order to lay the foundation for a more progressive and sustainable rural economy, the core theme of Agrovision has been designed as “Building sustainable livelihood and increasing farmers’ income and SMEs role in food processing”.

“It will be a unique opportunity for the progressive farmers, entrepreneurs from small scale industry to assimilate the latest products, services, technologies in agriculture, food and processing and allied sectors,” said a statement.

The event will showcase farm technologies and practices both within the country and abroad, latest innovations, soil testing techniques, harnessing farm produce from lab to land, and agricultural extension practices such as food processing and related sectors.

Various economy sectors including industry, corporate, R and D institutes, government organisations, policy makers, academia and farmers, small scale industries and consumers are participating in the three day mega event.

Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the event in the presence of Union Minister for MSME Kalraj Mishra, Agriculture Minister Krishna Byre Gowda and Minister in the Government of Republic of Rwanda, Gerardine Mukeshimana. (KNN/ST)
