Labour Minister Gangwar urges State CM's to form worker - employer groups for policy formulation and implementation

New Delhi, Nov 29 (KNN) In an attempt to facilitate better formulation and implementation of the different labour related policies and laws, the Union Minister of State (I/C) for Labour & Employment Santosh Gangwar in a letter to the Chief Ministers of all States has urged to form worker and labour groups along with the government groups.

The Minister said that there is a need of a tripartite mechanisms comprising of worker group, employer group and government group at the state level for continuous engagement with different stakeholders in order to formulate and implement different labour policies at State level.

The Minister further said that this falls in line with India’s Commitment to international obligation under ILO Convention C-144. (With PIB inputs) (KNN/DA)
