Labour Ministry discusses issues related to workers' grievances, redressal

New Delhi, Oct 14 (KNN) The meeting of the Consultative Committee attached to the Ministry of Labour and Employment was held here today in which the suggestions such as instant relief to victim workers, timely redressal of workers’ grievances and awareness creation among workers regarding benefits and services available to them were discussed.
The meeting was chaired by Bandaru Dattatreya, the Minister of State (IC), Labour & Employment.
The agenda for discussion included “Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), Shram Suvidha Portal and about the Building and Other Construction workers”.
Members appreciated the initiatives taken by the Ministry and suggested ways to improve it further.
Dattatreya assured members to take consider the suggestions made and also urged the members to cooperate in the endeavours of the Ministry of L&E for maximising the benefits to the workers.
The last meeting of the Committee was held on 14th July, 2015 on “Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO)”. (KNN Bureau)
