Labour Ministry invites institutes to impart coaching to SC/ST job seekers

New Delhi, Mar 31 (KNN) Making a move towards getting SC/ST job seekers employed, the Ministry of Labour & Employment wants to engage institutions for providing coaching and training to them.

The coaching would be provided in General English, General Awareness, Numerical Ability, Training in Shorthand and Typing in shorthand.

The Ministry, in a notification, said this is to equip them to compete in various examinations for vacancies of Group ‘C’ and equivalent posts conducted by staff selection commission and other recruiting agencies.

The coaching is being imparted by the Ministry under its special coaching scheme for a period of 11 months.

This would be conducted in 22 cities including – Delhi, Hyderabad, Ranchi, Kolkata, Kanpur and more under the supervision of Coaching cum Guidance Centres for SC/ STs located in these cities.

At around 60 candidates would be trained in each city except in Delhi where 100 candidates would be trained.
