Last date for filing nominations for National Entrepreneurship Awards (NEA) 2019 is September 10

New Delhi, Sept 4 (KNN) The last date for filing nominations for the National Entrepreneurship Awards (NEA) 2019 is September 10, 2019. NEA is being organized by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) to honour the outstanding first generation entrepreneurs and their ecosystem builders.

As many as 45 awards will be given under NEA 2019 to the young entrepreneurs upto the age of 40 years and their ecosystem builders across sectors, geographies and socio-economic background.

The entrepreneurs can send their entries through nominations or self-nominations.

The winners will receive a trophy, certificate and cash prize of Rs 5 lakh (enterprises/ individuals) and Rs 10 lakh (organizations/ institutions), in a grand award ceremony to be held in the second week of November this year.

The main categories under which the award will be presented are – A1 for initial investment upto Rs 1 lakh; A2 for initial investment above Rs 1 lakh to Rs 10 lakh; and A3 for initial investment above Rs 10 lakh to Rs 1 crore. The ecosystem builder award is a separate category.

Further there are different sectors like textiles, leather, chemical, pharma, bio, engineering systems, renewable energy and waste management, handicraft, healthcare, hospitality, tourism and travel, logistics, transport, e-commerce and etc under A1, A2 and A3 which would be eligible for the award.

There is also a special category award with investment upto Rs 1 lakh for Women Entrepreneurs, Entrepreneurs from SC/ ST categories, Entrepreneur from PwDs category; and Entrepreneur from Difficult Areas.

Ecosystem Builder Category will have nominations from Entrepreneurship Development Institutes/ Organizations, Incubation Centre (Government) and Incubation Centre (Private), Mentor (Government) and Mentor (Private), Promoters Rural Producer Group Enterprises.

After filing nominations, the candidates will go through three-level rigorous evaluation process. In the final step, a National Level Jury of eminent persons drawn from academia/ research, industry, social sector, banking etc will select the winners.
