Last date for PLI application for Specialty Steel extended up to Sept 15

New Delhi, Aug 18 (KNN) The central government on Thursday notified the extension of Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Specialty Steel up to September 15, 2022.

This marks the third extension since the initial deadline of March 29, 2022.

Previously it was extended till April 30, and again to May 31, 2022.

Ministry of Steel has requested interested companies to first register and then apply on the portal well before the deadline.

Criteria for participation, eligibility and other parameters have been notified on June 29, 2021 and are available on the portal.

Last year on July 22, PM Modi chaired Union Cabinet had approved Rs 6,322 crore PLI scheme to boost the production of speciality steel in India.

It is expected to attract an additional investment of about Rs 40,000 crore and generate 5.25 lakh job opportunities.  (KNN Bureau)
