LG Electronics and ESSCI to set up Centre of Excellence at NSIC’s Technical Services Centre

New Delhi, July 25 (KNN) LG Electronics and Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) will jointly set up a Centre of Excellence (CoE) at NSIC - Technical Services Centre.

It aims to train underprivileged youth in the fields of consumer electronics and appliances.

A MoU was signed by NSIC with LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd and ESSCI last week.

Union Minister for MSME Narayan Rane, MoS MSME Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, MSME Secretary B. B Swain were present at the occasion.

This partnership intends to open new avenues in the field of electronics for the youth and generate skilled manpower for employment in this sector.

In the first year, 600 youth per year would be benefitted on electronics goods servicing and repairing.

NSIC will facilitate passed out trainees in job fairs along with the sector skills council and LG Electronics will give them job preference to NSIC - Technical Services Centre (Okhla) trainees.

The agreement was signed by O. P. Singh, Centre Head, NTSC (Okhla), and Tae Jin Chang, Head Customer Service, LG India.  (KNN Bureau)
