MANTRA helps subsidy applicants resolve pending TUF claims in Surat

Surat, June 2 (KNN) The Manmade Textiles Research Association (MANTRA) held a two day special drive to help subsidy applicants to resolve their pending claims under the Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme (TUFS) in Surat.

The drive was inaugurated by Minister of State (MoS) for Textiles Darshana Jardosh earlier this week wherein Textile Commissionerate officials looked into the pending subsidy claims of textile units and approved the eligible claims on the spot.

Speaking at the inaugural, the minister expressed confidence and said that I am sure that applicants will make the most of the drive and get their issues addressed.

Clarifying the reason behind pending cases, she added, “The subsidy claims were pending in cases where the industrial unit had not submitted the requisite documents or had not shown interest in the inspection of their units.”

Accompanied by Deputy director-general Ushaben Pol and additional textile commissioner SP Verma the minister had also visited the various machinery and equipment available at MANTRA prior to the inauguration.

She urged MANTRA President Rajnikant Bachkaniwala, Vice President Jayvadan Bodawala, and council members to publicise the organisation’s work so that more people could benefit from it.  (KNN Bureau)
