Karnataka Signs MoU with Krones for State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Facility

Bengaluru, Dec 12 (KNN) In a significant move to bolster its industrial landscape, the Karnataka government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Krones, a global leader in bottling and packaging equipment, to set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at the Vemagal Industrial Park Phase 2.

The agreement was finalized during a delegation visit to Krones' headquarters in Neutraubling, Germany, under the leadership of M B Patil, the Minister for Large and Medium Industries.

The MoU ensures the swift operationalisation of the facility, with the Karnataka government committing full support to ensure a smooth and efficient setup.

This partnership comes ahead of Invest Karnataka 2025, the state's flagship Global Investors Meet scheduled for February, which aims to attract further investment and foster economic growth.

As part of the visit, Krones' leadership, including its CEO, provided the delegation with an in-depth look at the company’s advanced manufacturing processes and cutting-edge technology.

The company showcased its commitment to quality and innovation, which aligns with Karnataka’s focus on expanding its industrial base.

The strategic location of the Vemagal Industrial Park was highlighted as a key factor in Krones’ decision, with the company praising Karnataka’s robust infrastructure, pro-business policies, and favorable investment climate.

These attributes make the state an ideal choice for Krones’ expansion in India and the broader region.

In addition to discussions around the facility, the delegation also engaged with Krones’ suppliers, encouraging them to consider ancillary investments in the state.

This initiative is set to enhance Karnataka’s industrial ecosystem, creating more job opportunities and contributing to the state’s growing manufacturing sector.
