Nothing Technologies, UK To Manufacture Flagship Phone-3 In India
New Delhi, Jun 13 (KNN) London-based technology company Nothing announced Thursday that its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Phone 3, will be manufactured locally in India as part of the company's expanding regional operations.
The device will be produced at Nothing's manufacturing facility located in Chennai.
The announcement represents Nothing's continued commitment to local production, with the company stating that all of its smartphones have been manufactured in India.
The Phone 3 marks what the company describes as its first true flagship device, positioning it as a significant milestone in Nothing's product line-up.
Nothing has been expanding its service infrastructure across India, currently operating five exclusive service centres in major cities including Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai.
The company also maintains 20 priority service desks, with plans to add 10 additional locations in the near future. Beyond these dedicated facilities, Nothing's service network includes over 330 authorised service centres throughout the country.
The company's retail presence has experienced substantial growth, expanding from 2,000 stores at the beginning of 2024 to 10,000 stores currently.
This expansion reflects Nothing's increased focus on the Indian market as a key region for its business operations.
Akis Evangelidis, Co-Founder and India President, Nothing, emphasised the importance of the Indian market to the company's strategy.
He stated that India has been significant to Nothing since its inception and highlighted the company's alignment with the Make in India initiative through investments in local manufacturing, talent development, and innovation.
Evangelidis expressed anticipation for Indian users to experience what the company positions as its most advanced smartphone offering to date.
