Markets remain open and unaffected by Bharat Bandh
New Delhi, June 20 (KNN) Markets across the country have remained open despite Bharat Bandh called in protest against the Agneepath scheme recently announced by the government, said the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT).
The Delhi trade body said that there was no response by any trade associations for the Bharat Bandh.
Usual business activities were held in market and as the wedding season will last till July, any kind of closure is not beneficial for the traders, warned CAIT.
CAIT National President BC Bhartia and Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said that after Covid pandemic business has growing slowly in the markets, in such a situation, the traders have only one priority to conduct their business activities and no disruption is required.
The trade leaders said that any kind of agitation or Bharat Bandh is not in the interest of traders.
“If it has to be closed, then the traders will opt for a closure for highlighting their numerous problems which they are constantly struggling with,” they said. (KNN Bureau)
