MASSIA partners with GIZ, announces industry-academia projects for the year 2018-19

New Delhi, June 29 (KNN) The Marathwada Association of Small Scale Industries and Agriculture (Massia) has joined hands with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) under its project: Innovation Promotion.

The aim of the project is to provide opportunities for skill development and to inculcate a researchers’ attitude among engineering students of the region.

In the recent meeting, they have declared various activities under their industry-academia initiative.

In the year 2017-18, six engineering colleges were given 72 projects which were completed by 200 students in two months.

The project was proposed and inaugurated by chairman of the Rajiv Gandhi Science and Technology Commission Anil Kakodkar.

This year as well Massia, GIZ and the engineering colleges in Marathwada will be implementing the project for the year 2018-19,” the industrial body said in statement released after the meeting.

GIZ representative Tasavvar Ali gave an outline of the project in the meeting.

The meeting was attended by MASSIA president Kishor Rathi along with other office bearers. Representatives from 20 engineering also attended the meeting.
