MCA Extends Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme Till August 31
New Delhi, Jul 13 (KNN) The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has extended the validity of the Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme, 2026 (CCFS-2026) until August 31, 2026, providing defaulting companies additional time to complete pending statutory filings.
The scheme, which was originally scheduled to end on July 15, 2026, has been extended following capacity enhancement and restoration activities at the MCA's data centre after a fire incident on June 5, 2026.
90 Percent Waiver On Additional Late Fees
CCFS-2026 enables companies to regularise delayed statutory compliances by filing overdue documents with a 90 percent waiver on additional late fees. Companies are required to pay the normal filing fee along with only 10 percent of the applicable additional fee for delayed filings.
The scheme covers pending annual filing forms, including AOC-4 and MGT-7, and also offers relief to inactive companies.
Relief Measures For Inactive Companies
Inactive or defunct companies can apply for Dormant Company status by filing Form MSC-1 at 50 percent of the normal filing fee or seek removal from the register through Form STK-2 by paying only 25 percent of the prescribed filing fee.
Companies availing themselves of the scheme will also receive immunity from prosecution and penalty proceedings relating to delayed annual filings.
Certain Categories Remain Excluded
However, the scheme does not apply to vanishing companies, entities that have already been dissolved or are undergoing amalgamation, or companies that have received an active strike-off notice or have already initiated voluntary strike-off proceedings.
The MCA said the extension is intended to facilitate compliance while system restoration activities continue following the data centre disruption.
