Migrants can now change their address in Aadhar card to open bank account
New Delhi, Nov 16 (KNN) The centre government has given a big relief to Aadhar card holders, who, now can change their address in the later by giving a self-declaration letter.
It will benefit all those who migrate or have migrated to other states to earn their livelihood and face trouble while opening a bank account.
The government has clarified that the rules of Aadhaar KYC have been made easier only to open a bank account not to change the address of the house.
Some media reports stated that the address of the house can also be changed in Aadhaar by giving only a self-declaration letter. For this, it won't be necessary to provide a rent agreement or other listed document, but how far, it's true, is yet to ascertain.
However, to overcome this confusion, the government has made it clear that self-declaration will only work for opening a bank account. Apart from this, one won't be able to use it anywhere.
Presently, people have to face a lot of problems in opening a bank account. But after the new rule, migrants can now open a bank account at the present address other than the address recorded in the Aadhaar card.
