Ministry of Labour asks companies to enter UAN of employees in ESIC insurance module

New Delhi, 10 Dec (KNN) The Ministry of Labour and Employment has announced that the Employees' State Insurance (ESIC) Insurance number will be linked to the insured person’s EPFO Universal Account Number (UAN), a 12 digit identification number allotted by Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO).
As per a correspondence from the Ministry, EPFO members holding authorized Aadhaar and Bank details seeded against their UAN can submit their PF withdrawal/Settlement/Transfer requests.

The Ministry has informed that a provision has been made in the ESI portal where the employer can enter the UAN of IPs through the module, and once it is entered in the system it can be verified with EPFO.

Hence, for the ease of access to various provisions of the Act, the Ministry of Labour and Employment has urged to enter UAN of employees in the Insurance module of ESI Corporation.

ESIC is a constitutional body under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.

The Employee State Insurance Corporation Scheme provides members financial protection in case of an untimely health-related eventuality. The scheme offers medical benefits, disability benefits, maternity benefits, unemployment allowance, etc.

My previous employer has not provided me any formal documents like salary slip, appointment letter, offer letter etc and they have created my pf account and esic account. Now that I am switching to other company they are asking me to fill previous employer details, i left that section blank as i don't have any formal documents, now they are asking me to fill UAN no. And esic no., What to do in such case?
