MOU signed to help MSMEs go digital

The MOU was signed at an event held at the PHD Chamber yesterday
The move is an initiative of the PHD Chamber to build capacities of MSMEs by making them IT enabled through an alliance of IamSMEofIndia and Cluster Innovation Center, Delhi University.
“The objective of this alliance is to build capacities of MSMEs with the aim of promoting excellence in enabling IT infrastructure in MSMEs by leveraging technology and services to the changing market conditions thereby transforming MSMEs to Digital MSMEs,” said an official release.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor, Delhi University, Dinesh Singh commended the initiative taken by the University of Delhi to bring education outside the four walls of the classroom and connect with the society.
While stressing the importance of hands on education, he also emphasized the need to prepare new algorithms and software that benefit the society as a whole.
On the expectations of the project, this platform will give a direction to produce entrepreneurs rather than employed youth, said Chairman, IamSMEofIndia Rajive Chawla. He said it was a win-win situation for MSMEs in India as it will empower them to scale up the productions using IT skills in their business module.
Executive Director, PHD Chamber, Saurabh Sanyal welcomed the initiative that aims to bring continuous improvement in the MSME sector.
The PHD Chamber will facilitate, leverage member network and co-manage this initiative. (KNN/ES)
