MP Govt invites industries to set up units in Electronics Manufacturing Clusters in state

Bhopal, May 11 (KNN) Madhya Pradesh Government has invited the industries for setting up units in the Electronics Manufacturing Clusters in the state.

With a special focus on promoting Electronic System Design & Manufacturing (ESDM) sector, the state is setting up Electronics Manufacturing Clusters in Bhopal and Jabalpur measuring completion.

The Government of MP has invited industries for setting up units in EMCs at Bhopal and Jabalpur as Anchor Units by June 11, 2016.

MP State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd said in a notification that the units shall be entitled for special benefits apart from the ones available in the Policy.

Some of the key policy benefits would be  - land at subsidized rates with stamp duty exemptions; capital & interest subsidy; skill gap study; VAT/ CST reimbursement etc; and special incentives for mega projects.

The industries, for setting up units in the EMCs, would get developed plots with state of art infrastructure; 24X7 power supply; common facilities like Testing & Calibration Centre and more.

At present, the country imports 65% of electronic equipment, computer hardware and other electronic items. The Centre has set a target of reducing the import of electronic items to 50% by the financial year 2016-17 from the present level of 65%. (KNN Bureau)
