MSDE calls for nominations from entrepreneurs, MSMEs for National Entrepreneurship Awards

New Delhi, Aug 16 (KNN) The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has called for nominations from the entrepreneurs including the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) for the National Entrepreneurship Awards (NEA) for their exceptional contribution in entrepreneurship development.

This is the 4th edition of National Entrepreneurship Awards that will be held in November this year.

With NEA, the Government of India will reward the most innovative, inspiring and accomplished micro entrepreneurs to help them scale up their businesses.

The objective of these awards is to recognize the businesses and businessmen, not only to improve their marketability, but also address discontinuity towards better business systems and enhanced products & services with the help of a prize money.

In total as many as 45 specially designed awards - 39 Enterprise Awards and 6 Awards for Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Builders will be bestowed.

To be eligible for these awards, the nominee must be under the age of 40 years; they must be first-generation entrepreneurs; the nominee (entrepreneur) must hold 51% or more equity and ownership of the business; and women entrants must individually or collectively own 75% or more of the enterprise.

Interested entrepreneurs, MSMEs meeting the eligibility criteria can register themselves before or on September 10, 2019.

Winners will be felicitated in a grand Award Ceremony, organized by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, and will be presented with a Trophy, Certificate and a Cash Prize of Rs 5 lakh (enterprises/ individuals) and Rs 10 lakh (organizations/ institutes). (KNN Bureau)
