New Delhi, Apr 12 (KNN) Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)-Development Institute, functioning under the Union Ministry of MSMEs has organised a 10-day skill development training programme on gold appraisal at Madurai between April 15 and 26.

The programme would be conducted at the Gem and Jewellery Technical Institute at Avaniapuram in Tamil Nadu, according to a press release.

Participants would be given theoretical and practical knowledge on testing and appraising gold ornaments using various techniques and calculations.
No basic qualification is required to participate in the programme.

Successful candidates would be awarded certificates and they could choose either to work as jewellery appraisers or start their own jewellery business. (KNN)
