MSME-DI Karnal to host webinar with Northern Railway Workshop at Jagadhri for interested vendors

New Delhi, Feb 18 (KNN) A buyer seller online meet with Northern Railway Workshop at Jagadhri, Haryana is being organised by the MSME-Development Institute Karnal on 24th February, 2022 which will help MSMEs who are interested in becoming vendors of the Indian Railways. 

This initiative is undertaken with the objective of promotion and development of MSMES in the state of Haryana. 

It will take place virtually from 3pm to 4:30pm.

The meet will enable participants  to know the product purchased by Northern Railway Workshop Jagadhri  and procedure of purchasing.  

It will also help them to understand the Public Procurement Policy (PPP) and revised frequently Asked Question (FAQ) for Micro & Small Enterprises.There is no participation fees to join the webinar, and registration is mandatory and the link is https://forms.gle/axMTTtaV6ADqbUj89.

Earlier in January, to encourage MSMEs to apply as supply chain vendors with the Indian Railways, it had reduced its vendor application fee from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 15,000 for identified safety items.

This drop in fee marked at 93 per cent, while for businesses apart from MSMEs the fee is slashed from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 15,000 marking the drop at 94 per cent.

The Ministry of Indian Railways said this decision comes as an effort to bring ease in doing business as lowering the fee will reduce cost and boost domestic manufacturing, simultaneously benefiting Railways by accelerating its supply chain. (KNN Bureau)
