MSME exporters’ expecting series of further measures by Mamata Banerjee: EEPC India

Kolkata, May 27 (KNN) Hailing the measures taken by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to bring focus to the MSME sector and remove obstacles for the small exporters at the time of global slowdown, EEPC India said the sector is expecting a series of further measures during her second term.

Congratulating Banerjee on her swearing in as Chief Minister of West Bengal for the second term, EEPC India Chairman T S Bhasin today said the Trinamool Congress Government has brought the focus on the small and medium enterprises in the state, particularly in the engineering and manufacturing sector.

"India's engineering export which is dominated by the SME sector has received a big boost from the West Bengal government during Banerjee's first term. We expect a series of further measures for the engineering sector during the second term of extremely popular leader," Bhasin said.

Arun Kumar Garodia, Regional Chairman(ER) said, the EEPC India, with its headquarters in Kolkata, has been receiving an overwhelming support from the state government.

Bhasin said with the exports sector facing crisis in the international market, it is leaders like Banerjee who will be a great source of support by way of removing obstacles for the small units. (KNN Bureau)
