MSME Min informs about training courses for Coir & Coir products in Kalavoor

Thiruvananthapuram, June 8 (KNN) Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra today took to social media site Facebook to inform about the various intensive training courses for Coir and Coir products at Kalavoor in Alappuzha district of Kerala.
 
The Central Coir Research Institute, Kalavoor is conducting 35 types of intensive coir training courses for production of coir and coir products at Coir Board Complex, Kalavoor for the benefit of those who wish to set up coir based industrial units.
 
The duration of the courses vary from five days to ten days. Some of the courses to be conducted are - Manufacture of Loom Mats from pile wire loom; Manufacture of power loom coir mattings; Manufacture of Coir Wood; Fibre Treatment Processes and more. 
 
Alleppey (Alappuzha in Malayalam) is the nerve centre of Kerala's famous Coir industry. India is the largest coir producer in the world accounting for more than 80 per cent of the total world production of coir fibre. (KNN Bureau)
