New Delhi, Aug 20 (KNN) With an objective to provide gainful employment to all job-seekers registered with employment exchanges, the Directorate General of Employment and Training (DGE&T) is establishing a portal National Career Service Project (NCSP) by modernising the National Employment Service.

“The Government is now giving increased focus on career counselling as a key activity for DGE&T, with a view to ensure that the aspiring youth pursue the right career choice, so that they join the workforce with better skills for enhancing growth and development,” said an official notification from the Ministry of Labour and Employment.

NCSP will act as a common, centralised platform to provide a better range of services like job placement, vacancy notification, formal training programmes and on-the-job trainings. It will help generating employment by facilitating interaction between jobseekers and employers and disseminating accurate and consistent employment market information to all stakeholders on time.

Toward this, DGE&T wants to appoint an implementing agency to manage the NCSP portal and provide services.

The implementing agency will be responsible for design, development, and implementation of the proposed solution.

DGE&T is the apex organisation for development and coordination at national level for the programmes relating to vocational training and employment services. It is responsible for establishing the national policy and standards and procedures to be followed by states for implementation of employment services and planning and formulating programmes for expansion and development of national employment service.
