The conference will provide a platform for industry leaders, practitioners, scientists, organized agriculturists, policy makers, MSME’s and NGOs to deliberate on the challenges to nutrition and food security. It will aim to motivate farmers to adopt new inputs methods in farming in order to get better yields.

Farming inputs contributes about 40–50 per cent of total yield increase for most of the crops. Combining use of advanced science and technology for improved seed cultivars, effective farm management in crop production, and judicious use of fertilisers are essential with a favourable policy environment which is supportive to farmers.

In recent times, the Government of India has taken various initiatives for strengthening the seed production value chain through enhanced availability of quality seeds & planting material of crops to farmers across the country through various programs.

Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar will be the chief guest at the event.  (KNN Bureau)
