NDMC slashes iron-ore rates by 30%

New Delhi, July 6 (KNN) State-owned NMDC Ltd has cut down the prices of lumps or higher grade of iron ore by as much as 30 per cent since January to Rs 2,950 per tonne for the current month.
The move comes on the backdrop of subdued demand in the domestic market.
NDMC had kept lump ore prices unchanged in January 2015 from December last year at Rs 4,200 per tonne.
In the case of iron ore fines, the price revision is steeper by 46 per cent. For July 2015, NMDC has put the price of iron ore fines at Rs 1,660 per tonne against Rs 3,060 per tonne in January this year. (KNN Bureau)
