NIESBUD organising faculty development programme on entrepreneurship

New Delhi, June (KNN) The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) is organising a training course to provide professionals the knowledge of entrepreneurship development so that they can act as resource persons in guiding and motivating young students to take up entrepreneurship as their career.

The faculty development programme on entrepreneurship is to be held from June 25 to 27 at NIESBUD campus, Noida.

The specific objectives are to expose the participating faculty members to the comprehensive entrepreneurship development; process and equip them to coordinate and organise entrepreneurship related activities in their colleges, polytechnics and schools and to equip them with requisite skills, knowledge and competencies for effective initiation of entrepreneurship awareness camps and entrepreneurship development courses in their institutions.

Individuals like teachers and faculty members from universities, science and engineering colleges, polytechnics and entrepreneurship development institutions involved or likely to be involved in entrepreneurship related activities, professionals from NGOs involved in similar activities will be participating in the programme.

The course content will cover the topics like Entrepreneurship Development Process & Model; Skills and behavioural training; Resource building; Self-directed attitudinal and behavioural changes resulting in confidence building for taking up and implementing entrepreneurship development related activities; Knowledge-based information inputs; Business Opportunity Identification; Business profile preparation, business plan formulation, assessing the viability of a business plan; Small Business Management; Business crisis and Conceptualising, designing and implementing programmes for potential entrepreneurs with special reference to curriculum design, programme planning and management.

The programme structure will adopt the method such as lecture-cum-discussion, case studies, role-plays and simulation exercises; interaction with experts in entrepreneurship development, curriculum development and opportunity guidance, and with successful entrepreneurs for practical insights and group work and practice sessions.
